Weedy Sea Dragon

Weedy Seadragon , is a marine fish related to the seahorse. It is the only member of the genus Phyllopteryx. It is found in water 3 to 50 m deep around the southern coastline of Australia, approximately between Port Stephens, New South Wales and Geraldton, Western Australia, as well as around Tasmania. Weedy Seadragons are named for the weed-like projections on their bodies that camouflage them as they move among the seaweed beds where they are usually found. 

The weedy sea dragon may grow to be as big as 45 cm long, which is about 18 inches. They use their tube shaped snout to such up zooplankton and any other tiny crustaceans they can find including sea lice also called mysids.

Another relative of the weedy sea dragon is the leafy sea dragon. They look similar, but the leafy sea dragon has more leaf shaped appendages than weed like. The DNA has been studied to help determine their closeness 

Victoria Piegon

 This bird is very different from the pigeon we see in towns and cities. The crowned pigeon is quite spectacular, being blue in colour and as tall as a turkey (74 cm). It has a large crest of feathers on its head that can be raised - hence its name. It is the largest of all living pigeons and is found in the wild only in New Guinea and some smaller offshore islands nearby

 The sounds that these birds make are unusual. Their contact call sounds a bit like the sound created by blowing over the top of a milk bottle, whilst their display call is a dramatic 'boom-pa!'

  They are hunted for food and sport and collected alive for illegal sale. There are also forestry and mining activities that threaten the forest they live in. They have largely disappeared from areas of human habitation but are thought to be fairly common in the wilder jungles of New Guinea

 There are two subspecies of the Victoria Crowned Pigeon, Goura victoria victoria, the nominate race is the smaller of the two supspecies and can be found in Yapen, Biak & Supiori. Goura victoria beccarii is found on the mainland of New Guinea

Wierdest Buildings and Homes

When you first look at this building you initially thing something is wrong with your eyes or maybe you have had too much to drink.  I know, this would make a great picture to put in a bar and ask "IF THIS BUILDING LOOKS NORMAL TO YOU THEN YOU ARE DEFINITELY TOO DRUNK TO BE SERVED ANOTHER DRINK AND IT IS TIME TO GO HOME".

 I am EGG-cited about this building.  I wonder if they sell eggs?  

 A basket for a building---how creative is that?  Everyday at work would be yet another picnic.  

 This would be the perfect house in many areas of the U.S. as they claim they are "Upside Down" and want a modification.  If their house looked like this, I would definitely give them a GREAT mod!  

 When you see this one, you automatically think that this house MUST be somewhere in the Midwest.  Where else in the would would one live in a bowl?  JK! 

 Now this is innovative architecture!  One would hope that the supports were mighty strong.  Especially for those below. 

 Check this out, look really close, it IS a house!  

 This looks like it is in Scotland as it is such a rocky terrain. 

 This boot was NOT made for walking, it was made for living.  Maybe she is the old woman who lived in a shoe and had so many children that she did not know what to do? 

 This one looks like railroad cars all stacked up on top of one another.  What a concept! 

 This looks like an angry homeowner that was denied his loan modification and he just threw his house at the bank and look where it landed. 

 Do you think that maybe they went solar? 

 Wouldn't this be the coolest roller coaster?

 More Vegas -- and believe it or not, the experts claim that this pyramid was built so wrong that it is sinking a little bit each year.
